  • 1 cup - grated ivy gourd
  • 1/2 cup - gram flour
  • 1/4 cup - rice flour
  • 1 - onion, big and chopped finely
  • 1tsp - fennel seeds, crushed
  • 1 tsp - ginger, grated
  • Salt
  • A few - curry leaves
  • Oil for deep-frying

How to Make Ivy gourd Vadas

  • Mix well the grated ivy gourd, rice flour, gram flour, chopped onions, crushed fennel seeds, grated ginger and salt in a bowl.
  • Add water if needed to turn into a thick batter.
  • Meanwhile heat oil on medium flame, take a small ball from the prepared vada batter, flatten them and drop gently to the hot oil.
  • Cook the vadas in medium flame until the they turn golden brown.
  • Serve it.
