  • 1 cup - grated Ivy gourd
  • 1/2 cup - gram flour
  • 1/4 cup - Rice flour
  • 1 - onion, big and chopped finely
  • 1tsp - fennel seeds, crushed
  • 1 tsp - ginger, grated
  • Salt
  • A few - Curry leaves
  • Oil for deep-frying
  • How to Make Ivy gourd Vadas:

    1. Mix well the grated ivy gourd, rice flour, gram flour, chopped onions, crushed fennel seeds, grated ginger and salt in a bowl.
    2. Add water if needed to turn into a thick batter.
    3. Meanwhile heat oil on medium flame, take a small ball from the prepared vada batter, flatten them and drop gently to the hot oil.
    4. Cook the vadas in medium flame until the they turn golden brown.
    5. Serve it.
