Ingredients

  • 4 cups - Ripe Jackfruit pieces, sliced into small pieces
  • 1 cup - Sliced Jackfruit seeds
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Turmeric paste
  • 1 cup - Grated Coconut
  • 4 tbsps - Coconut oil
  • 2 - Dry chillies, split
  • A few Curry leaves
  • 1 tsp - Mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Jackfruit Erissery:

    1. Cook jackfruit and seed of jackfruit with sufficient water.
    2. Stir occasionally while cooking.
    3. When it is well cooked, add salt and smash the content with a ladle.
    4. Grind chilli powder and turmeric powder, keep aside.
    5. Heat coconut oil and pop mustard seeds.
    6. Add grated coconut and dry chillies.
    7. Stir till brown.
    8. Add curry leaves and ground Masala.
    9. Saute well.
    10. Add jackfruit mixture to this.
    11. Mix well and remove from fire.
