Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • 2 tbsps - pine kernels
  • 4 - Bananas
  • 1 tbsp - Brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp - chopped candied peels
  • How to Make Jewelled Bananas:

    1. Melt butter on gentle heat in a heavy pan.
    2. Peel and slice the bananas.
    3. Cook the bananas and the pine kernels in the butter.
    4. Add sugar and allow it to caramelize.
    5. Add the chopped peel.
    6. Heat through and serve at once with a little cream or pour over plain or coffee ice cream.
