Ingredients

  • Batter:
  • 1 cup - All-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup - semolina ( suzi )
  • Pinch of - Red Chilli powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • 1 tbsp -Veg Oil
  • For filling
  • 1 - Big Potato ( boiled and cut into pieces)
  • 1- Onion ( chopped)
  • 4-5 - Curry leaves
  • A pinch of - Mustard Seeds
  • 2-3 - Green chillies ( according to taste )
  • Pinch of - Turmeric powder
  • Salt - to taste
  • 2 tbsp - Veg oil
  • How to Make Jhatpat Masala Dosa:

    1. Heat oil in a frying pan, add mustard seeds.
    2. When it splutters, add curry leaves, chopped onions, green chillies, potato, turmeric powder and salt.
    3. Fry for 2-3 min.
    4. Then add 1/2 a cup of water and boil for 2-3 min.
    5. Keep this masala curry aside.
    6. Mix all ingredients for the batter and add water to make it of medium viscosity.
    7. Add oil in hot frying pan, add batter and spread out into a dosa.
    8. After 2 mins, put masala curry in the middle of dosa horizontally.
    9. Fold dosa from two sides. Fry dosa on both sides, add a little oil (if necessary).
    10. Serve hot with coconut chutney or without chutney .
