  • 1 cup - Milk powder
  • 1 tsp - baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Ghee
  • 3/4 cup - Sugar
  • 1 litre - Milk
  • 1 - Egg
  • A few Saffron strands
  • 1/2 cup - Pista
  • How to Make Jhatpat Rasmalai:

    1. Boil the milk with sugar and saffron strands in a pan.
    2. Make a soft dough with the milk powder, ghee, baking powder and lightly beaten egg.
    3. Make small balls from the dough, flatten them a bit and add to the boiling milk.
    4. Turn over the balls after 5 minutes and again after another 5 minutes.
    5. Cook for 2 more minutes, then turn off the flame and let the rasmalai cool.
    6. Add finely chopped pista.
    7. Serve chilled.
