Ingredients

  • 1 packet - firm tofu, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 - medium red Onions
  • 1 - medium green bell pepper, cut into medium pieces
  • 1 - medium red bell pepper, cut into medium pieces
  • 8-10 Cloves - Garlic
  • 1-inch - Ginger
  • 1 cup - fresh Coriander leaves
  • 10 - Green chillies
  • 1 - medium tomato, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp - cumin powder
  • oil
  • salt and Sugar to taste
  • How to Make Kadhai Tofu:

    1. In a food processor, combine red onions, green chillies, coriander leaves, garlic and ginger.
    2. Heat oil in a kadhai, add the ginger-coriander paste and fry till brown.
    3. Add garam masala, coriander powder and cumin powder.
    4. Add finely chopped tomatoes and fry for 5 minutes.
    5. Add both green and red peppers and cook for 2 minutes on high heat.
    6. Add a pinch of sugar and salt per taste.
    7. Reduce heat and add the tofu. Carefully stir the mixture and cover and cook for 5 minutes.
    8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
