Ingredients

  • 500 g - tapioca
  • 1 tsp - 2 Red Chilli powder
  • 3 tsp - gram flour/besan
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp - Rice powder
  • 1/4 tsp - asafetida
  • Curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • Water
  • How to Make Kappa fry:

    1. Boil tapioca till half cooked.
    2. Cut the cooked tapioca into thin slices.
    3. In a bowl, combine all powders, curry leaves and salt.
    4. Add a little water to this mixture to make a thick paste.
    5. Put all the tapioca pieces into this thick batter.
    6. Deep fry 3-4 tapioca pieces together till golden brown.
