Ingredients

  • 2 - 3 - Bitter gourd
  • Salt - according to taste
  • 2 tbsp - vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp - black pepper

How to Make Karela in Gravy

  • Cut bitter gourd into two pieces, add salt in the filing (according to taste).
  • Keep aside for 10 - 15 minutes.
  • Fry them in deep oil.
  • Remove them till they turn crispy and little brownish.
  • Take a hollow vessel, add some oil and add the fried bitter gourd to this oil.
  • Now add some water according to the quantity of bitter gourd.
  • When the water starts boiling, cover the vessel with a lid and cook it on slow flame for about 10 mins.
  • Add black pepper to this.
  • Eat with kichadi or chapatti.
  • Tastes delicious and easy to make.
