  • 500 g - Spinach
  • 3 - 4 - red chillies
  • 2 pinches - hing
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder
  • Salt as per your taste
  • 2 tsp - urad dal
  • 1/2 tsp - mustard seeds
  • 1 tbsp - coconut oil

How to Make Keerai Masial

  • Wash the spinach and boil it until tender and cooked well.
  • Drain the excess water from the boiled spinach and allow it to cool for a few minutes
  • Beat the spinach in a mixie until it is smashed nicely and keep it aside
  • Heat oil in a kadai and add mustard seeds. Allow it to splutter.
  • Add the red chillies, urad dal, coriander powder, hing, etc to the oil.
  • Add the smashed spinach to the above mixture and simmer for 1 min.
  • Add salt as per your taste and mix well.
