Ingredients

  • 6-7 - dates deseeded
  • Tamarind - lemon sized ball
  • 1/4 tsp - cumin seeds
  • 1/4 tsp - carom seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - fennel seeds
  • 1/2 tsp - red chilli powder
  • 1 cup - water
  • 2 inch cube - jaggery
  • 1/2 tsp - black salt
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Khajur aur Imli ki Meethi Chutney

  • Boil water in a pan, add tamarind, dates, jaggery and remove from the stove.
  • Let it soak in water for an hour.
  • Grind into a smooth paste. Transfer the paste to a pan and add another cup of water and mix well.
  • Now add red chilli powder, cumin seeds, ajwain, fennel seeds, black salt and salt.
  • Cook till it reduces to a consistency of sauce.
