Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups - Wheat flour
  • 1/2 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 tsp - active Dry yeast
  • 1/2 tsp - Sugar
  • 1/2 tsp - salt
  • 1/2 cup - warm Milk
  • 1/4 cup - warm water (if required)
  • Oil to Deep Fried

How to Make Khameeri Roti

  • Add sugar to warmed milk.
  • Sprinkle yeast over it, cover and keep aside.
  • Mix flour and salt, and rub in butter to blend well.
  • When yeast mixture becomes frothy, add to flour.
  • Mix flour and knead to a smooth soft pliable dough.
  • Keep covered for 30 mins.
  • Take a ping-pong sized lump of dough, roll into a thick nan or roti.
  • Deep fried in hot oil, till puffed and light golden and soft.
  • Repeat with rest of dough.
  • Serve hot.
