Ingredients

  • 1 cup - rava
  • 1 cup - jaggery- finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup - water
  • 2 cup - Coconut Milk
  • 1/4 cup - fresh Coconut scraped
  • 1/2 tsp - Nutmeg powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp - ghee/brown Butter
  • a few - Cashewnuts for decoration
  • 1 pinch - salt

How to Make Khandavi

  • Add butter to a pan and roast the rava until it is golden in colour. Then remove it from the heat.
  • Add all the ingredients (except coconut and cashews) and mix them thoroughly and pressure cook it for 2 whistles.
  • Grease a flat plate and pour the mixture.
  • Press fresh coconut, cashews and make the surface even.
  • Cut them into squares or diamonds when it cools down.
