Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups - rice flour, roasted
  • 2- 3 drops yellow colour
  • 1/2 cup - hot milk diluted with 1/2 th cup water
  • 3 tsp - oil
  • 1/2 th cup - grated coconut
  • 2 cups - sugar, powdered
  • 1 tsp - cardamom powder
  • 1/2 cup - khoya

How to Make Khoya Modak

  • Add the rice flour with diluted milk, little by little, to avoid formation of lumps.
  • Mix yellow colour to it and make round balls. Keep it aside.
  • Mix, coconut, sugar, cardamom powder in a heavy-bottomed pan.
  • Add khoya. Stir it on low flame. Then cool it.
  • Stuff the prepared coconut khoya mixture in rice balls.
  • Fold the edges tapering to the top.
  • Now steam the modaks in a cooker for 5 mins.
  • Decorate with chopped pistachio.
  • Refrigerate for 30 mins and serve.
