  • 100 gm - Rice
  • 2 litres - Milk
  • 100 gm - Kalkandh (Kalsakray)
  • 250 gm - Sugar
  • 100 gm - Ghee
  • Cashewnut, Rasins
  • Saffron, Cardamom (powder)

How to Make Kshrirannam

  • Soak rice for 15 minutes in water.
  • Boil it with all of the milk.
  • Keep stirring till it cooks (this is very important. Ensure that the rice cooks fully).
  • Add a little saffron.
  • Add kalkand and sugar
  • Add a little ghee, after sugar and kalkhand has dissolved.
  • After it thickens remove from stove and add cashew and rasins (fried in ghee)
  • Add cardamom.
  • The delicious Kshrirannam is ready.
