  • 3 cups - Bread flour/All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp - Salt
  • 1.5 tsp - Active Dry yeast
  • 2 tsp - Sugar
  • 1.5 cups - Water
  • 3 tbsp - Oil
  • 1/2 tsp - Baking soda
  • 2 tbsp - Milk (for brushing)
  • Sesame seeds
  • How to Make Laadi Pav-Soft Dinner Rolls:

    1. Add the yeast, sugar and salt to lukewarm water, stir and set aside for 5 minutes until the yeast turns foamy.
    2. Place the flour and baking soda in a large bowl and add the foaming yeast water and oil.
    3. Knead everything into a soft dough.
    4. Arrange the dough in a large greased bowl and keep in a warm place for two hours until the dough doubles in volume.
    5. Then punch down the doubled dough and knead again.
    6. Make 9 small balls from the dough.
    7. Arrange one by one in a greased mould and let them sit for an hour in a warm place.
    8. After an hour, preheat the oven to 350 degree F.
    9. Brush the bread rolls with milk, sprinkle the sesame seeds on the top.
    10. Bake in middle rack for 15-20 minutes until a golden brown crust forms over the bread.
    11. Cool.
