Ingredients

  • 1 cup - green Saunf (fennel seeds)
  • 1 tsp jintan pills (silver or red)
  • 2.5 tbsp ground Sugar
  • 20 gm katha (catechu)
  • How to Make Laal Saunf:

    1. Soak katha in a little water for 30 minutes
    2. Mix sugar and saunf together
    3. Mix katha paste well and pour through sieve on to the seeds
    4. Mix well.
    5. Sun-dry till the seeds have dried and coloured.
    6. This should take approximately 10-12 hours of bright sun.
    7. Once totally dry, mix in the jintan balls.
    8. Store in airtight jar.
