  • 1 litre - Milk
  • 2 cups - grated Lauki (only the green portion, not the white one)
  • 1 cup - khoya
  • 1/2 cup - Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp - green colour (optional)
  • 4 - elaichies (ground)
  • Almonds and Cashewnuts for garnishing

How to Make Lauki Burfi

  • Put the milk to boil.
  • In the meantime, grate the lauki.
  • When the milk starts boiling, put the grated lauki in it.
  • When the milk reduces to half its quantity, add khoya, sugar and color.
  • When the mixture starts leaving the sides of the vessel, pour it in an aluminum tray.
  • Add elaichi and garnish with dry fruits - almonds and cashewnuts.
  • Cut into pieces after a hour.
