  • Sugar - 2 cups
  • Water - 1 cup
  • Fresh Ginger - 5 cm
  • Lime - 4, medium
  • Yellow colouring - 2-3 drops

How to Make Lime and Ginger Juice

  • Remove the skin of the ginger and grind it fine in a mixie, adding water to it.
  • Strain and keep aside.
  • Remove the juice from the lime and filter it, leaving out the seeds.
  • In a heavy-bottomed vessel, boil together sugar and ginger juice, stirring all the time, till you get a sticky syrup.
  • Add lime juice and simmer just once and remove from heat.
  • Add yellow food colouring (cool) and bottle the syrup.
  • To serve, add, 1/4th glass juice in a tall glass tumbler and top it with either iced soda or iced water.
  • Stir once before serving.
