  • 250 g - macaroni
  • Oil
  • Salt
  • Bechamel sauce:
  • 100 g - cheese
  • 1 tbsp - all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp - Butter
  • Salt- as per taste
  • 1 tsp - paprika powder
  • 1 tsp - pepper- freshly crushed
  • 300 ml - Milk
  • For Au-Gratin:
  • 100 g - cheese
  • Herbs of your choice
  • 4 - cherry Tomato
  • How to Make Macaroni Cheese Au-Gratin:

    1. Boil 1 litre water with salt and oil.
    2. Add macaroni and boil until al dente.
    3. For preparing Bechamel Sauce:
    4. Heat butter in a pan, add the flour and fry until slight brown in colour.
    5. Add salt, paprika and pepper, stir, add the milk and boil.
    6. Now add 100 g of cheese. Stir until cheese melts and gets blended well in the milk, remove from flame
    7. Preheat the oven at 220 degree F for 5 mins
    8. Quickly layer the baking tray with a layer of macaroni, pour in half of the Bechamel sauce. Layer out rest of the macaroni and again pour the rest of the bechamel sauce. Now at the top, layer it with rest of the cheese and tomato. Sprinkle herbs of your choice.
    9. Place the tray on the bottom rack and bake 220 degree F for 10 mins.
    10. After that, grill for 5 mins until a golden crust forms at the top of the macaroni.
    11. Take out of oven and serve it hot.
