Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Maida
  • 1 cup-Sugar
  • 3/4 cup - Milk powder
  • 3/4 cup - Malai/cream
  • 1 tsp - Baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Soda bicarbonate
  • 1/2 cup- Butter
  • 7-8 drops - Vanilla essence
  • 2 tsp - Cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp - Chocolate powder
  • 1.5 cup- Milk

How to Make Malai chocolate cake

  • Whisk the malai till it separates into butter
  • Then add the vanilla essence, butter, sugar, milk powder, maida cocoa and chocolate powders, and mix well.
  • Add milk (reserving 2 tbsps) to smoothen the batter and keep aside.
  • Take another bowl and heat 2 tbsp of milk, add soda and baking powder and mix well.
  • Add this to the batter.
  • Fold the mixture gently.
  • Now grease a cake tin, dust with flour, pour the batter and bake in a preheated oven at 160 deg C for 45 mins.
