Ingredients

  • 8 small raw mangoes
  • 2 tbsp - panchphoron (a mixture of anise seeds, fenugreek, mustard and Cumin seeds and shahjeera)
  • 50g - whole Green chillies
  • 3 tbsp - Turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp - chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard oil
  • How to Make Mango Pickle with Indian Spices:

    1. Slice the mangoes into 4 pieces.
    2. Steam for 10 mins. and then dry in the sun for 1 day.
    3. Pound coarsely the panchphoron.
    4. Mix panchphoron with mangoes along with salt, turmeric and chilli powder and put in a bottle.
    5. Add chillies and enough oil to cover the mangoes.
    6. Set in the sun for 1 week.
