Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Rice (soaked in water for 1/2 hour)
  • 1/2 cup - mangodi (moong dal vadis)
  • 2 to 3 Onions finely chopped
  • 1 Bay Leaf and whole masala
  • 2 to 3 sticks Cinnamon
  • 2 to 3 Cardamoms
  • 2 to 3 Cloves
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - Ghee
  • 5 cups - water
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste
  • How to Make Mangodi Ka Pulao:

    1. Lightly fry all the mangodis and keep aside.
    2. Wash the soaked rice.
    3. Take a heavy bottomed vessel on medium flame and add ghee.
    4. Add the whole masala and bay leaf.
    5. Add the finely chopped onion and saute till pink.
    6. Then add the soaked rice and mangodis.
    7. Saute lightly and add water.
    8. Add salt and mix well.
    9. Cover the vessel and cook the rice on
