Ingredients

  • 2 cups - Rice (soaked in water for 1/2 hour)
  • 1/2 cup - mangodi (moong dal vadis)
  • 2 to 3 Onions finely chopped
  • 1 Bay Leaf and whole masala
  • 2 to 3 sticks Cinnamon
  • 2 to 3 Cardamoms
  • 2 to 3 Cloves
  • 2 to 3 tbsp - Ghee
  • 5 cups - water
  • oil for frying
  • salt to taste

How to Make Mangodi Ka Pulao

  • Lightly fry all the mangodis and keep aside.
  • Wash the soaked rice.
  • Take a heavy bottomed vessel on medium flame and add ghee.
  • Add the whole masala and bay leaf.
  • Add the finely chopped onion and saute till pink.
  • Then add the soaked rice and mangodis.
  • Saute lightly and add water.
  • Add salt and mix well.
