Ingredients

  • 250 g - Almonds
  • 250 g - Sugar
  • 300 g - Icing Sugar
  • 2 - Egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp - Rose water for grinding
  • 1/4 tsp - Almond essence
  • 250 g - Cashew nuts
  • 1-2 drops - Food colour.
  • How to Make Marzipan Sweets:

    1. Grind the almonds and cashew nuts with the egg whites and rose water into a smooth paste.
    2. Transfer the paste into a heavy bottomed pan and add the sugar.
    3. Cook on a low heat stirring all the time until the mixture forms into a soft ball.
    4. Remove from heat and add the icing sugar.
    5. Divide the mixture into 3 parts and add a few drops of food colour.
    6. Knead until it forms a dry ball.
    7. Divide the mixture into even sided balls.
    8. Mould into different shapes.
    9. Cool in a refrigerator.
