  • 2 cups - mathia flour
  • 1 cup - Urad Dal flour
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - Ghee
  • 1/3 cup - Sugar
  • 1 tsp - papad khar
  • 1 tsp - ajwain
  • Salt to taste
  • Approx 1/2 cup - warm water (add more if needed)
  • How to Make Mathias:

    1. Mix the flours, red chilli powder and the ghee.
    2. Add papad khar, ajwain, sugar and salt to the warm water.
    3. Mix it all together to make a stiff dough. Pound it for a few minutes, stretch and knead it till it's smooth.
    4. Roll out into puris. Heat oil and deep fry on medium heat.
