Ingredients

  • 3 tbsps - Ghee / oil
  • 1 - large onion, thinly sliced
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 2 tsp - freshly ground Coriander seeds
  • 2 tsp - kasoori Methi
  • 3 Cloves - garlic, ground
  • 3/4 cup - smoothened Yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp - grated Coconut ground to a paste with water
  • 3 - Bay Leaves
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam Masala powder
  • How to Make Methi and Curd Gravy:

    1. Heat ghee in a frying pan. Fry slices of onions to a golden brown.
    2. Add salt, red chillies, coriander, kasoori methi, garlic and yoghurt, and fry the masala till it turns brown and ghee separates from the masala.
    3. Add the coconut paste, bay leaves, garam masala powder and 1 cup of water and stir.
