Ingredients

  • For Parathe:
  • Methi ki bhaji, neatly chopped
  • red chilli powder as required
  • a pinch of turmeric powder
  • salt
  • 3/4 cup - besan
  • 2 cups - wheat flour
  • 1 cup - jowar flour
  • 1 cup - bajri flour
  • 5-7 flakes - garlic
  • For Thecha
  • 2-3 tbsp - fried peanuts, grinded
  • 8-10 - green chillies
  • 1/2 inch -ginger
  • 4-5 flakes - garlic
  • salt to taste

How to Make Methi ke Parathe and 'Thecha'

  • For Parathas:
  • Grind red chilli powder and garlic together.
  • Mix all the ingredients and the ground paste and mould into a thick dough.
  • While making the dough, mix 2-3 tbsp of oil.
  • Make parathas from the dough.
  • For Thecha:
  • Add some oil to a frying pan and place the chillies in it for some time; remove when they start turning brown.
  • Grind the chillies with ginger, garlic, salt and ground peanuts.
  • Pour 2-3 tbsps of oil in a frying pan and roast the paste for 4-5 minutes.
