Ingredients

  • Mutton - 500 gms, cut into cubes
  • Tomato - 250 gm, chopped
  • Onions - 2 medium size
  • Garlic - 4 flakes
  • Ginger - 3 cms
  • Red chillies - 6 to 8
  • Oil - 4 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek leaves - 2 bunches, chopped
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Methi Mansha (Mutton with Fenugreek Leaves)

  • Grind onion, ginger and chillies to a paste.
  • Heat oil in a pressure pan. Add the paste and fry well.
  • Add mutton, turmeric, salt and 1/2 cup water.
  • Pressure cook for 10 minutes.
  • When the pressure drops, open the cooker and heat till most of the liquid is evaporated.
  • Add fenugreek and fry for few minutes.
  • Add tomato and cook for 5-8 mins more.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice or roti.
