Ingredients

  • 1 cup - Onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Ginger (chopped)
  • 1 pod - Garlic (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Cumin (jeera)
  • Salt
  • 3/4 cup - Frozen peas
  • 1 cup - Methi leaves
  • Kasuri methi crushed (optional, a few strands)
  • 1 - Green chilli
  • 1 tbsp - Oil
  • 1 tbsp - Curd
  • 1/2 cup - Cream or malai
  • Spice powders:
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp - Kitchen king masala
  • 1/4 tsp - Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Coriander powder

How to Make Methi Mattar Malai

  • Heat oil in a pan and temper jeera.
  • Add onions, ginger, garlic, green chilli and saute until onions turn golden brown and add salt.
  • Add fresh methi leaves.
  • Saute for couple of minutes till it shrinks.
  • Add frozen peas, spice powders, curd and saute for a minute.
  • Add cream.
  • Bring the mixture to boil.
  • Add little water to desired consistency.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes and garnish with kasuri methi.
  • Serve it with naans or roti.
