  • 1.5 cups - whole Wheat flour
  • 1 cup - besan
  • 1 bunch - Fenugreek leaves, chopped
  • 1 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup - Yoghurt
  • 3 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste.
  • How to Make Methi Thepla:

    1. Sieve the wheat and gram flours into a mixing bowl.
    2. Make a well in the centre and add all the ingredients except oil.
    3. Mix well and add water as needed and knead it into a stiff dough.
    4. Cover with a moist cloth and set aside for 15 minutes.
    5. Knead the dough again and divide into walnut sized portions. Roll each one out into small rotis/ chapattis.
    6. Heat a non-stick griddle and once well-heated, reduce flame to minimum.
    7. Place a thepla on shallow fry both sides. Smear ghee, and serve.
