Ingredients

  • 300gms - tender bhendi (washed, wiped dry and cut into 1to1.5-inch pieces)
  • 1 medium onion, chopped fine
  • 2 green chillies, cut into pieces
  • 3/4 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Turmeric powder
  • 6 peeled, crushed Garlic
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • Salt
  • 1 tsp - chopped Coriander leaves
  • 1 tbsp - til, dry fried and powdered
  • 1 tbsp or less - oil
  • How to Make Microwave bhendi curry:

    1. Mix okra (bhendi), onion, chillies and salt in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave on High for 3 mins, with a lid.
    2. Add oil, red chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, crushed garlic and mix well. Microwave on High for 6 mins (with lid) stirring once after every 2 mins.
    3. Add coriander leaves and til powder; mix and microwave on High for 2 more mins without the lid.
    4. Check and remove.
    5. Tastes great with curd, rice/chapathi.
