How to Make Microwave Murg Mussalam with peppercorns

  • Mix all the ingredients, except chicken.
  • Apply the marinade over the chicken (and inside) and refrigerate overnight.
  • Next day, heat oil in a kadai and saute the chicken until it turns brown.
  • Place the chicken in a serving dish and pour 1/2 cup water on it. Cover and microwave for 10 mins on high.
  • After 10 minutes, turn the chicken over.
  • If the water has dried up, add another 1/2 cup. Cover and microwave for another 10 mins.
  • Once cooked, let the chicken stand for 5 mins.
  • Place the whole bird on a serving plate and garnish with tomato and onion slices. It is now ready to be carved.
