Ingredients

  • Sooji - 1 cup
  • Milk - 3 cups
  • Sugar - 1.5 cups
  • Ghee - 1 cup
  • Cardamom- 5, finely powdered
  • Raisins, almonds, cashews, Walnuts - 1/2 cup

How to Make Milk Cake

  • Take 2 tsp of ghee in a thick bottom pan.
  • Add raisins, almonds, cashews, walnuts and fry till golden brown.
  • Keep aside the fried nuts and raisins. Add the rest of the ingredients (sooji, milk, sugar, ghee, cardamom) in the same pan.
  • Cook on medium heat while continuously stirring the mixture till it leaves the edges and forms a lump in the middle.
  • Pour this into a buttered tray or cake pan.
  • Cut in to pieces of required shapes and leave aside for cooling.
  • Decorate this fried nuts and raisins on top.
