Ingredients

  • Sooji - 1 cup
  • Milk - 3 cups
  • Sugar - 1.5 cups
  • Ghee - 1 cup
  • Cardamom- 5, finely powdered
  • Raisins, almonds, cashews, Walnuts - 1/2 cup
  • How to Make Milk Cake:

    1. Take 2 tsp of ghee in a thick bottom pan.
    2. Add raisins, almonds, cashews, walnuts and fry till golden brown.
    3. Keep aside the fried nuts and raisins. Add the rest of the ingredients (sooji, milk, sugar, ghee, cardamom) in the same pan.
    4. Cook on medium heat while continuously stirring the mixture till it leaves the edges and forms a lump in the middle.
    5. Pour this into a buttered tray or cake pan.
    6. Cut in to pieces of required shapes and leave aside for cooling.
    7. Decorate this fried nuts and raisins on top.
