How to Make Milk Jam-Dulce de leche

  • Remove the label of the can and boil the unopened can in water in a pressure cooker on a high flame with the cooker opened.
  • Let it boil. Then lower the flame and simmer.
  • Now cover the cooker with the lid, without the weight.
  • Let it cook on a medium flame for at least an hour with a closed lid.
  • The water level should always be above the can. Add more water in case it evaporates.
  • The more you cook the darker the colour of the sauce.
  • Now remove from fire.
  • Keep aside for 4-5 hours until it cools completely.
  • Now open the can and serve.
