Ingredients

  • 2 cups - mint leaves
  • 1/4 cup - coriander seeds
  • 1 tbsp - urad dal
  • 5 - dry red chillies
  • 1 tbsp - cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp - peppercorns
  • 1/4 cup - pumpkin seeds
  • 2 tbsp - desiccated coconut
  • salt to taste
  • oil as needed

How to Make Mint and Pumpkin Seeds Spice Powder

  • Dry-roast the mint leaves until it leaves an aroma.
  • Heat a few drops of oil and roast the coriander seeds, urad dal, dry red chillies, cumin seeds, peppercorns and pumpkin seeds.
  • Add the desiccated coconut, stir for a few seconds and put off the flame.
  • Grind the roasted spices and roasted mint leaves in a mixie into a slightly coarse powder.
  • Store the spice powder in an airtight container.
  • Serve with rice.
