  • 1 cup Pomegranate (use the seedless variety)
  • 1 cup moong sprouts
  • 1 cup grated Coconut
  • 4-5 Red Chillies
  • A pinch of Asafoetida
  • A few Curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp mustard
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Lemon juice
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Cucumber, finely chopped (optional)
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated (optional)
  • 1-2 green chillies, finely chopped (optional)
  • How to Make Moong and Pomegranate Salad:

    1. Mix pomegranate, moong sprouts and coconut well.
    2. Add salt and lemon juice and mix well.
    3. Heat the oil and add mustard, curry leaves, red chillies and asafoetida.
    4. Season the mixture.
    5. Coriander leaves can be used for garnishing.
    6. Finely chopped cucumber can be added to the above.
    7. A tsp of grated ginger can also be added.
    8. If you want to make it slightly spicy, add 1-2 finely chopped green chillies.
