Ingredients

  • 1 cup - moong dal (green gram dal)
  • 1 - big Carrot (grated)
  • 1 sprig - Coriander leaves (chopped)
  • 2 tbsp - Coconut (shredded)
  • a dash of Lime
  • salt to taste
  • For seasoning: 2 tsp - oil
  • 1 tsp - Mustard Seeds
  • How to Make Moong Dal and Carrot Salad:

    1. Soak moong dal for an hour and drain.
    2. Cook the dal and keep aside to cool.
    3. Then add in all the ingredients, except salt.
    4. Heat oil in a pan and add the mustard seeds.
    5. When the seeds splutter, add them to the mixture and mix well.
    6. Add salt just before serving.
