Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup - Cooked yellow moong dal
  • 25 - Soya chunks
  • 1 cup - Mixed veggies (finely chopped carrot, capsicum and sweet corn)
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 tsp - Garam masala powder
  • 2 - Green chillies (chopped)
  • Chopped coriander leaves
  • 1/2 cup - Bread crumbs
  • Salt
  • Oil (for shallow frying)

How to Make Moong dal and Soya chunks Fingers

  • Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add the chopped onions and saute for few minutes.
  • Add the mixed vegetables and chopped green chillies.
  • Cook for a few minutes until they are half cooked.
  • At the same time, cook the soya chunks in boiling water until they double their size. Drain the water.
  • Squeeze out the water from the cooked soya chunks.
  • Take it in mixie and grind as a coarse mixture.
  • Now, take the cooked moong dal, grounded soya chunks, sauteed vegetables, chopped coriander leaves, bread crumbs, garam masala and salt in a bowl.
  • Mash and mix everything well.
  • Take medium-sized balls from the mixture and as medium-sized rolls.
  • Arrange the rolls in the fridge for an hour before shallow frying.
  • Heat oil for shallow frying.
  • Drop the fingers one by one. Fry on a medium flame until they turn brown.
  • Drain the excess oil with a paper towel.
  • Enjoy with ketchup or sweet chilly sauce.
