Ingredients

  • Tur Dal-1/2 cup
  • Channa Dal-1/2 cup
  • Urad Dal-1/3 cup
  • Red Chillies-3
  • Ginger-1 inch
  • Salt-to taste
  • Asafoetida-1/2 tsp
  • Drumstick Leaves-1 sprig
  • Oil-to deep fry

How to Make Murungakeerai Vadai

  • Soak all the dals and red chillies in water.
  • After half an hour, strain and along with red chillies, ginger, salt and asafoetida grind to a coarse batter.
  • Add chopped drumstick leaves and mix well.
  • Heat oil in a pan and make vadas out of the prepared batter and deep fry them in oil till golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
