Ingredients

  • 3 cups - mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 tbsp - Butter
  • 1 cup - cooked Chicken pieces
  • 1/4 cup - boiled Corn
  • 1/4 tsp - minced Garlic
  • 2 tbsp - plain four
  • 1.5 cups - Milk
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp - pepper powder
  • 3/4 cup - grated cheese
  • 1 cup - bread croutons
  • 1tsp - Oregano
  • How to Make Mushroom Casserole:

    1. Heat 2 tbsp butter.
    2. Add mushroom, chicken pieces and garlic.
    3. Saute till mushrooms are well done.
    4. Add corn and saute for another 2-3 mins.
    5. Remove from fire.
    6. In another pan, heat remaining butter.
    7. Add flour and stir continuously.
    8. After 2-3 mins, add milk and stir.
    9. Add salt and pepper powder.
    10. Cook till the white sauce thickens.
    11. Add 2 tbsp of sauce to mushroom mixture. Mix well.
    12. In a greased casserole, make a bed of bread croutons.
    13. Spread 1/2 of the mushroom mixture.
    14. Then make a layer of white sauce.
    15. Spread remaining mushroom mixture and top with white sauce.
    16. Sprinkle the grated cheese and the oregano.
    17. Bake at 350 degrees centigrade for 35-40 mins.
    18. Serve with toasted bread.
