Ingredients

  • 1 cup - mushroom
  • 2 cups - onions, chopped lengthwise (grind 1/4 cup onions in to a fine paste)
  • 2 - tomatoes
  • 1 tsp - ginger garlic paste
  • 1 pinch - turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp - coriander powder
  • 3/4 tsp - chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp - fresh cream
  • 2 tsp - coriander leaves
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Salt

How to Make Mushroom Do Pyaza

  • Heat the oil in a pan, add the ground onion paste and ginger garlic paste and saute it till it lightly browns.
  • Now add the onions and saute till browned.
  • Grind the tomatoes to a paste and add it.
  • Mix well and saute until the raw smell of tomatoes disappears.
  • Add chilli, turmeric, garam masala and coriander masala powders.
  • Mix well and saute till it is dry.
  • Now add the cleaned mushroom, saute for a few minutes.
  • When the mushroom releases water, add more water.
  • Keep the dish closed and cook until mushroom turns soft.
  • Add cream and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • It goes well with roti, naan, hot steamed rice and dhal.
