  • 1/2 kg - black or brown mustard seeds
  • 250 g - white mustard seeds
  • 12 - dry red chillies
  • 10 - pods of Garlic
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp - sugar 1 tbsp
  • A small piece of drumstick tree bark
  • Vinegar as required for grinding

How to Make Mustard Sauce for Sandwiches

  • Remove stones from mustard seeds.
  • Using vinegar a little at a time, grind all the ingredients except sugar and salt to a thick, smooth paste.
  • Add sugar and salt to taste.
  • Add a little more vinegar to make the paste into a sauce like consistency.
  • Pour into a dry bottle and preserve.
