How to Make Mutter wale chawal

  • Pick, wash and soak the rice for 20 minutes. Lightly heat the ghee in a heavy-bottom vessel.
  • Add cloves, bay leaves and cinnamon and fry for a few seconds.
  • Add green peas and fry for a minute.
  • Add the soaked rice, 4 cups of water and salt and mix it well.
  • Bring it to a boil. After it's boiled, let it simmer. Cook covered with a lid.
  • Lightly mix it once or twice when the rice is being cooked.
  • Cook till the rice is done.
