Ingredients

  • For the Kofta: 500 g - kheema
  • 1 tbsp - Ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp - Garlic paste
  • 3 to 4 - green chillies, chopped finely
  • 1 tsp - Garam Masala
  • 3 slices - bread
  • 1 - Egg
  • 1 1.5 tsp - salt
  • 1.5 cup - chopped fresh Coriander leaves For Garnishing:
  • some fresh chopped coriander
  • For Creamy Tomato Sauce: 5 - large Tomatoes
  • 2 1.5 inch pieces - Ginger
  • 1 tsp - salt
  • 1 tsp - Red Chilli powder
  • 1 tsp - Jeera powder
  • 1 cup - malai or Cream
  • A pinch - Orange red colour
  • How to Make Mutton Malai Kofta:

    1. To prepare the tomato sauce: Blend all the ingredients, except cream, well in a mixer to a puree.
    2. In the dish, add the above tomato puree and microwave high uncovered for 10 mins.
    3. Add cream and a little orange colour. Mix well and keep the creamy tomato sauce aside.
    4. To make koftas:
    5. Soak bread in water, squeeze and crumble.
    6. Mix all the ingredients of the kofta with the bread. Make into balls.
    7. Place balls on a plate in a ring.
    8. Microwave high uncovered for 5 mins.
    9. Change sides of koftas after 2-3 mins.
    10. Add koftas to the tomato sauce in the dish.
    11. Microwave high covered for 4 mins.
    12. Let it stand for 2-3 mins.
    13. Serve hot garnished with fresh coriander
    14. Note: Koftas of boiled potatoes and paneer can be made in the same way.
