Ingredients

  • 500 g - Mutton cubes
  • 1/2 cup - oil/ghee
  • 3 - Tomatoes (blanched, peeled and chopped)
  • 2 - onions, crushed
  • 6 - green chillies, slit
  • 1 tbsp - each Garlic paste, salt and chilli powder
  • 2 tbsp - Almond powder
  • 1 tsp - coriander powder (dhania)
  • 1 tsp - each Cumin seeds and Garam Masala powder
  • 1/2 cup - thick curds
  • 1/2 tsp - Turmeric powder (haldi)
  • 1/2 cup - coriander leaves, chopped

How to Make Mutton Moghlai

  • Heat oil, fry onions till golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes and slit green chillies, cook till oil separates.
  • Add meat, garlic, salt, chilli powder, coriander, cumin powder, garam masala, turmeric and almond powder. Fry for 2-3 mins.
  • When oil separates, add 1/2 cup warm water.
  • Cook on low flame with a cover till meat is tender and the gravy is thick.
  • Garnish with julienne of ginger and chopped coriander leaves.
  • Serve with naan, parathas or pulao rice.
