Ingredients

  • 1/2 kg - mutton, chopped
  • 2 - potatoes, quartered
  • 2 - Carrots chopped into big pieces
  • 2 - onions, chopped
  • 1/2 inch - Ginger
  • 5 - Garlic flakes
  • 4 - green chillies, slit lengthwise
  • 5 - Cloves
  • 2 - Bay Leaves
  • 6 - Black Peppercorns
  • 1/2 inch - Cinnamon
  • 2 - Cardamoms
  • 1/4 tsp - black pepper powder
  • 1/2 tsp - Maida
  • 1/4 tsp - Vinegar
  • 2 cups - Coconut Milk
  • 2 tbsp - oil
  • Salt to taste
  • How to Make Mutton Stew with Veggies:

    1. In a small pan, heat 1 tbsp oil and saute onions till golden brown.
    2. Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, bay leaves, cloves, cardamom, black pepper and cinnamon.
    3. Saute for 5 mins.
    4. Remove from fire and keep aside.
    5. In a big pan, heat the remaining oil.
    6. Add flour and saute for 3 mins.
    7. Add mutton pieces and simmer for 5 mins.
    8. Add 3/4th of coconut milk, vinegar and cook till meat pieces are half cooked.
    9. Add potatoes, carrot and fried masala.
    10. Add salt and pepper powder.
    11. Cook till vegetables are tender and meat is completely cooked.
    12. Add the remaining coconut milk.
    13. Boil for 2 mins.
    14. Remove from fire.
    15. Garnish with coriander leaves.
    16. Serve hot.
