Ingredients

  • Maida - 2 cups
  • Salt - 1 tsp
  • Baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Soda - 1/2 tsp
  • Oil or Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Warm Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1 tsp
  • Fresh Yeast - 1 tsp
  • How to Make Naan & Kulcha (without eggs):

    1. Mix maida, salt, baking powder and soda.
    2. Add 2 tbsp of oil or ghee.
    3. In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and curd.
    4. Dissolve the sugar in it.
    5. Add the fresh yeast and add this liquid to the maida mixture.
    6. Add enough warm water to make a very soft dough.
    7. Keep covered until it grows to double in volume.
    8. Punch it down, knead till smooth.
    9. Then make small balls, roll out into oval shaped nanas and cook on a hot tawa until both sides are done.
