Ingredients

  • 1 kg - meat bones
  • 3 - carrots, peeled and chopped into 1 inch bits
  • 1 - small cabbage, chopped into big pieces
  • 6 or 7 - string beans, broken into bits
  • 2 - medium sized onions, sliced roughly
  • 2 - tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 tsp - peppercorns
  • salt to taste
  • 1 - soup cube

How to Make Nana's Bone Soup

  • Wash soup bones and vegetables, then boil with all the other ingredients in sufficient water on high heat for a few minutes.
  • Reduce the heat and simmer for about 1 hour till the soup is thick.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley or mint.
  • Serve hot with bread or rolls.
