How to Make No-Fat Carrot Halwa

  • Pressure cook the grated carrot and almonds without any liquid for 3-4 whistles. Cool completely.
  • Extract 1/2 cup carrot liquid and keep aside.
  • Add the sugar and over low heat, stir well till sugar dissolves.
  • Mix the flour with carrot liquid to make a paste and add to carrot mixture.
  • Stir well and cook for 3-5 mins till a thick mass is formed.
  • Sprinkle cardamom powder and close the cooker. Take off heat.
  • Just before serving, stir again.
  • Serve hot or cold.
