How to Make Noormal Kofta Curry

  • Combine all the ingredients for Kofta. Shape into 3 cm round balls and reserve.
  • Deep fry the onion in hot oil till golden brown and grind to a paste.
  • Grind cashew nuts, poppy seeds and melon seeds to a paste.
  • Heat 3 tbsp of the oil in which onion was fried.
  • Add cloves, cardamom and mace.
  • Add the cashew nut paste and fry till oil separates.
  • Add turmeric and chilli powder, fry for 1 minute.
  • Add the onion paste and 2 cups of water. Add salt to taste.
  • Add the Koftas and simmer gently till the Koftas are cooked. (Add more water while cooking if needed).
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with Roti or Naan.
