  • 1/2 cup - Basmati rice
  • 2 cups - Milk
  • 1/2 cup - Sweetened condensed milk
  • 15 - Almonds
  • A few pistachios (grounded) for garnishing
  • 1/2 tsp - Cardamom powder
  • 1/4 tsp - Almond essence

How to Make Nutty Rice Kheer

  • Soak the almonds in 1/4 cup of warm milk for an hour and grind as a fine paste.
  • Cook the basmati rice in a pressure cooker along with the remaining milk for 3 whistles.
  • Once the steam get released, add the sweetened condensed milk, grounded almond paste, almond essence, cardamom powder and cook everything until the kheer thickens.
  • Serve warm or chilled with some pistachios.
